Il Vetro che si illumina – The glass that lights up
The Corriere del Veneto presents Casarialto
Glass that becomes an enchanted and transparent bestiary: these are Catherine Urban’s ideas, which with Casarialto become glasses, plates, candlesticks, special lights, perhaps for the holiday table. Here are colored dragonflies that stop on the bowls, surprise cactus in the jugs, snails that climb on candelabras and golden plates… And glass birds: Trilli Uccellino is a wireless and rechargeable LED table lamp. There is also a butterfly, dragonfly and hedgehog version. New for Christmas: Via Lattea, a limited edition tablecloth, which lights up when touched, not by a magic wand but by the optical fibers worked into the fabric.
Aurora Gold Plate
Aurora Gold Handcrafted Glass Decorative Plate is a series of four pieces, which combine the timeless beauty of clear glass with luxurious 24 K gold leaf decorations and the application of glass
elements. Hadcrafted in Venice.
Much more than a simple decorative item, the AURORA collection is a celebration of the art and craftsmanship of Venetian glassmakers. Each plate is meticulously crafted from clear glass and adorned with gold leaf painting that sparkles with the warmth of the festive season.
The plate is further enhanced by glass floral motifs and insects, adding a touch of natural beauty to this elegant creation. Originally conceived as refined place settings, AURORA was designed by Catherine Urban,
the artistic director of Casarialto, to embellish the table before the main course is served.
Via Lattea Tablecloth
Via Lattea is a special tablecloth, with luminous stars, handcrafted with textile weaving and optical fibers. Handcrafted in Italy.
On the occasion of the upcoming holidays, Casarialto presents a groundbreaking addition to its collection, a true fusion of fabric and technology, craftsmanship and innovation.
Developed entirely by the Casarialto Research and Development team, VIA LATTEA is a special luminous tablecloth, the result of a handcrafted process that combines textile weaving with optical fiber, which channels light through the fabric and is revealed only when the connected LEDs are turned on.
With a simple touch, the tablecloth lights up with a subtle glow, highlighting the design as well as the bases of glasses that seem to shine with their own light, cutlery that reflects light around, charger plates, and the entire table setting. This creates a sophisticated atmosphere that no overhead lighting can match.
The savoir-faire required to create VIA LATTEA is not only artisanal but also, and above all, technical and technological: from the modified loom designed to weave optical and textile
fibers into a single fabric, to the specially designed power supply unit that provides adequate light with low voltage without external cables. Lastly, but not least in importance, the
integrated circuit in the edge of the tablecloth, powered by a tiny 3.7 Volt battery with a 4-hour lifespan (when fully charged), generates the light that illuminates VIA LATTEA.
Trilli Uccellino Handcrafted Glass LED Lamp
Trilli UCCELLINO is a cordless, rechargeable LED table lamp, in borosilicate. A glass sphere with a glass branch extending from it, upon which a small delicate bird and two tiny ladybugs rest. Handmade in Venice.
The fusion of glass art and technology is a cherished combination for Catherine Urban, the artistic director of Casarialto, who is delighted to present the brand’s first collection of cordless, rechargeable LED table lamps.
Inspired by nature, this collection creates true magic and poetry with light, which is why it is named after the famous fairy from Peter Pan—small and full of powers.
Developed entirely by Casarialto in both technology and design, each lamp is equipped with an electronic device featuring a 2500 mA battery that lasts for 5 hours and supports induction charging. The 0.5-watt LED is activated with a touch, like a magic wand: the first touch turns it on with a steady light, the second touch simulates a candle effect, and the third touch turns TRILLI off.
TRILLI UCCELLINO is a sphere with a glass branch extending from it, upon which a small delicate bird and two tiny ladybugs rest.
Dimensions: Diameter 11 cm x H 20 cm (including base)
