The Star of Ali in Volo is the dragonfly, venerated in Japan and considered a true example of balance, this insect brings an important lesson for everyday life: the need to live every day to the fullest. Like the dragonfly, which transforms from a nymph in water by developing wings that will take it on endless journeys, so each of us should leave our comfort zone and explore new worlds. At the same time, in a chaotic and fast-paced world, it is important to seek tranquility in one’s daily life and in one’s own spaces, trying to recreate an oasis of peace within the home.
Following this spirit, Ali in Volo by Casarialto x Summerill&Bishop was born, meticulously crafted pieces that showcase the skill and elegance of Italian glass manufacturing. Born from an idea of Summerill&Bishop and brought to life by Catherine Urban, founder and artistic director of the brand, Ali in Volo is a hymn to refinement and delicacy. Colored glass dragonflies fly in perfect balance, settling on napkin rings, on the edges of bowls and stands, in a harmonious fusion of art and craftsmanship. Each product is a unique piece, the result of freehand creation by Venetian artisans, and is entirely made in Italy.
