Catherine Urban, designer and founder of Casarialto, has been enriching daily life with creations that blend elegance and craftsmanship since 2008. Trained at the Institut Français de la Mode, she has collaborated with luxury maisons such as Chanel and Louis Vuitton, honing a savoir-faire that explores the allure of materials. From the world of fashion to glass—an element as fragile and powerful as a promise—her journey led her to Italy, the land of craftsmanship and expertise. Venice, suspended between water and mastery, becomes the bridge between French culture and Italian craftsmanship, the place where stories of style come to life. Driven by a constant search for conceptual and artistic balance, Catherine honors traditional techniques to create timeless pieces where the past intertwines with a contemporary vision. Each Casarialto creation is a work of art, destined for true connoisseurs of luxury.
Monsieur Briccola and the philosophy of Casarialto
Imagine that every thing you desire and love is represented in one symbol. What would that be? For Casarialto, whose collections are inspired by nature, including floral and animal motifs, the iconic figure is ici, Monsieur Briccola. A whimsical dodo with long, slender legs, it embodies the brand’s values. Evoking the Venetian briccole, a distinctive element of the lagoon, this water-resistant wood connects land, sky, and sea, marking the paths of sailors while standing out for its ability to exist in harmonious contamination—an identity of Casarialto.
